And I think we can all agree that beauty is a terrible thing to waste. Why would you ever allow such immeasurably valuable treasures to dissipate without a fight? Yet, the creativity of the Chinese youth has gone to waste for many decades now. Even today, in the age of digital effluence when every coming of age leaves behind an image trail, thick or thin, of magical moments, we still see no social awareness of this tragic waste. You could excuse society by saying they are not there yet, they are still new to the modern life, but you could also say that wasting beauty is never excusable. The hungry young souls are shouting, in their own timid chorus, appreciate! God damnit! Appreciate us!
